Fatih Sutcu is currently an Assistant Professor working in both Disaster Management Institute and the Civil Engineering Faculty of Istanbul Technical University. He teaches about Reinforced Concrete Building Design and Seismic Response Control with Dampers in undergraduate and graduate level.
After bachelor in YTU (Istanbul) and masters in ITU, he graduated PhD in Tohoku University/Japan where he extensively studied about “Advanced Technologies for Seismic Resistance: Damper Design”. Later he worked in Tokyo Institute of Technology about seismic dampers and isolators as a specially appointed professor.
Currently Fatih Sutcu is conducting both experimental and numerical international joint research projects about innovative seismic retrofit methods and seismic isolation.
